Larry Harper
Hi, I’m Larry Harper, Managing Director and Senior Instructor for SKÖNPHOTO.
I’m a certified teacher and photographer who has taught photography classes throughout northern New England for over 12 years and in Las Vegas for 3 years. My interest began early, learning from extraordinary photographers who knew, enjoyed thoroughly explained all aspects of photography. Over the years I have won awards, been invited to show in multiple exhibits, and been published. I have been to numerous fascinating places taking pictures.
Today, I am teaching and coaching photography the way I was taught. I enjoy working with beginners and people who want to take outstanding pictures. By listening and thoroughly understanding my students’ needs and goals, I teach people the best settings, and proven processes to avoid the “auto” setting. This enables you to capture images you are proud of and want to share with your family and friends.
A number of my students have gone on to become professional photographers, winning awards and accolades for their spectacular images and artistic creativity. You may not be interested in competing in shows or having your images in magazines, but want beautiful images to cherish and share. Whatever your photography goals are, I am here to assist you to reach or exceed them. Your success is my focus!

SKÖNPHOTO: A Photographic Experience in Learning and Achieving
SKÖNPHOTO is a subsidiary of Robinswood Photography, Inc., (as is Portrait Design Photography™- PDP), a highly trusted firm founded in 1989. PDP led the northern New England market in young child and family photography. Each year PDP photographed thousands of preschool and young children, occasionally with their families. I still hear from families in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont about how much they treasure the pictures.
Skön is Swedish for beautiful. My coaching and teaching focus on enabling you to achieve unique, beautiful photos. I work with beginners and individuals who want to get more from their cameras. SKÖNPHOTO offers private workshops, group classes, and traveling photography workshops in New England, the Americas, Europe, and Africa. Our success is your success!
